Daikanyama is named for a trend-setting shopping district in Tokyo. Darlow Christ designed this Newton restaurant with inspiration from traditional Japanese garments, reinventing their details with the use of scale, texture, and repetition. Dominant lines, lighting and color emphasize the fashion-based concept of image as reinvention and transformation.
